摘要

Numerous studies relative to pump efficiency and its dependence on viscosity have been published in the last 10 years. With the increasing cost of energy, optimizing the fluid viscosity to achieve the highest possible efficiency is essential to minimize operating costs and reduce CO_2 emissions. Significant efficiency improvements can be obtained by reducing the energy losses taking place in the pump.
