摘要

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a tumor of central nervous system glial cells affects ~ 22500 individuals in the US annually. Median survival is extremely low because of GBM's high infiltration capacity and resistance to current treatment options, including radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery. To develop robust treatments and expand existing therapeutic options, it is crucial to understand the complex behavior of GBMs. Clinical observations suggest that GBMs migrate along blood vessel periphery, glial limitans externa, and most frequently through white matter tracts.
