摘要

Micro-flotation tests of smithsonite using several cationic amine surfactants were studied. It wasrnshown that the surfactant with 12 carbon chain was better than that with 16 or 18 carbon chain inrnthe flotation of smithsonite, and the primary amine was much more effective than the other type ofrnamine collectors. By zeta potential measurement, it could be found that the primary amine mightrnbe chemically adsorbed on smithsonite surface by complexes formation besides electrostatic force.rnA new class of siloxane amine TAS 101 and QAS 505 were synthesised and used as collectors for thernflotation of smithsonite for the first time. The results showed that TAS101 could greatly improve thernfloatability of smithsonite in comparison to dodecylamine (DDA) because of its strong hydrophobicrnsiloxane group. It was further investigated that sodium hexametaphosphate (HMP) was the mostrnappropriate depressant for quartz, and it affected little on the floatability of smithsonite when TAS101rncollector was used.
