Abstract: One model for fingerprint's directional image simulation and two basic models for generating virtual ridges structure and minutiae are proposed. Both approaches are based on general physical principles. These models allow to explain natural processes of fingerprints appearance and offer some new opportunities for image regeneration in defected areas. !4
