On the base of abound and deepened researches of identification of adversity-resistances ofrnplants, a new approach of research --- systemized study is applied on the identification of cold andrndrought resistances and salt tolerance of the main outstanding plant resources orientating to thernmain limitation factors, i.e. cold, drought and salinization, in regions with drought, semi-drought andrnsalinization problems. The identification results of individual adversity-resistances are compared andrnanalyzed, i.e. in a horizontal direction of study, to reveal the relationship between differentrnadversity-resistances, and to find out the coincidences and differences between various plants inrnrespect to their structures, functions and metabolites related to cold and drought resistances and saltrntolerance of plant resources in adverse circumstances. The identification parameters and methodsrnare deeply inquired from macro- to micro-level, i.e. in a vertical direction of study, for certain plantrnspecies with variations in biological, physiological and biochemical characteristics, from populationrnlevel to individual level, and further to the cell and molecular levels. Both the relativity of resistancernor nonresistance and the maximal resistance of plant resources to adversity are discussed to revealrnthe coincidence of the resistance parameters. It is drawn out the principle of adversity-resistance ofrnthe plant and proposed a resistance assessment method which, on the one hand, is with parametersrnfrom the advanced approaches of study, and on the other hand, is a simple and easy identificationrnmethod of adversity-resistant plant resources used for improvement of arid and saline soils in regionsrnwith drought or semi-drought (cold) problems (Table 1). The study and application of this methodrnhave both ecological and ecological significances.
