Ergonomical and Economic Aspects of Working with Display Screen Equipment in Estonia

The study was restricted to computerized office work and to persons who use display screen equipment every day. It is found that the number of complaints did not depend only on hours worked daily but also on visual and postural ergonomical solutions of workstations. The suggestions made by students showed that awareness of possible work-related discomforts is increasing. As a result of risk assessment 31.5% of workstations were improved without direct costs. This is advantage not only from point of view employers but also at state level.
