In this paper we are concerned with a tendency of meals which we take every day. Human meal tendency varies with individuals or households and is considered to be divided into the following three types: convenience-oriented meal tendency, health-oriented meal tendency and earnest-oriented meal tendency. In order to examine the difference of meal tendency among households we gathered data on meals which three households had taken in a year and also conducted a questionnaire, in which subjects are 20 junior college students, to know how much people feel that each menu which they took through a year is convenience-oriented food, health-oriented food and earnest-oriented food respectively. Based upon the actual data on meals and the results of the questionnaire "menu convenience-oriented meal scores", "menu health-oriented meal scores" and "earnest-oriented meal scores" are defined applying the concept of perturbation as a secondary mental effect which one meal tendency influences to other meal tendencies. It is proposed that the three meal scores defined here are used to investigate the difference of meal tendency among households or individuals.
