Some Considerations on Ergonomic Values in the Prevention of Occupational Cumulative Trauma Disorders

The aim of the study has been to develop a simple method of job evaluation for detecting the risk of cumulative trauma disorders in the upper limbs of workers at different workplaces. As a first step, 17 repetitive manual tasks in a few industrial plants were analyzed. Analyzes revealed a considerable variety of values for individual load parameters, depending on type of task. A synthetic presentation of the global load on the upper extremity during performing a task has been also attempted.
