University Hospital Ambulatory Access Analysis

The diagnosis accomplished in this work allowed a team to verify the existence of many irregularities concerning the sidewalks and drive ways and access that takes to the ambulatory of the Hospital. The recommendations based upon NBR 9050 knowledge of the technical crew involved, try to supply as needs, that are supposed to be more primary, to improve the access and information provided to the users. It is believed that many of the changes and recommendations proposed could be really carried out, and that they will not cause an over charge on the institution under analysis finance. On the other hand, some other changes would just need a request of the hospital to city responsible department, such as DETRAN (Traffic Department), IPUF (Public Institute for City Planning of Florianopolis Municipal District) in charge of cross street strips setting, bus stop, signs and ramps among other facilities. Thus, certain that not all recommendations proposed will be implanted immediately, either for budget problems, labor force resource and/or material resource unavailability, but wishing to testify all changes suggest in this work, expecting it somehow come to contribute to the improvement of life quality of the users of this hospital and of those people that use these access facilities.
