Promoting the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Examinations for the Seafarers' Competency

The competency of the seafarers is partly proved by paper examinations. Based on main views on examination wash-back effect and error theory in general examinations,as well as the experience of the authors in seafarers' examination,the essay analyses the positive examination wash-back effect and the errors taking place in seafarers' examinations,and finally puts forward to suggestions for current mode and methods of seafarers' examinations.
