Value Management in Health Care in an Industrial Hospital

For over 50 years, VE has been established as a practical, useful and potent tool for costimprovement, in all industries. Tata Steel, a pioneer in steel industry in India, which set thespace for rapid industrialization in this country, has applied this technique successfully in avariety of ways. This paper highlights how VE technique has been successfully adapted inTata Steel's Medical Division and brought about excellence in its services to achieve thedesired vision of becoming the ‘Health Care Provider, by Choice'
