The good behavior of the structures of reinforced concrete is assured by the phenomenon of the existing adherence between the steel reinforcing bar and the concrete, guaranteeing that the materials act together forming, in this way, a solidary piece. The adherence tension between the steel bar and the concrete is determined by means of different methods, as for example, the assay of Confinement of Superficial Conformation" and the assay "pull-out". The use of the first one is recommended by the Brazilian normalization while that the other is recommended by diverse countries and, considered as being most traditional for this purpose. This paper presents the results of the assays of direct traction, according to ABNT/NBR 7477 and of pulling up normalized for CEB RC6 and also related in the ASTM C-234. These assays had been carried through with conventional concrete and also with concrete contend 10% of rubber fiber in substitution the sand, in volume, and rail steel reinforcing bars of diameter 10, 12,5 and 16mm. With the introduction of rubber fibers in the concrete, the behavior of the same ones in its composition was evaluated, being possible to evidence the viability of its use as material constituent of the concrete in substitution to the conventional materials.
