The European Schoolnet An Attempt to Share Information and Services

The European Schoolnet is a network of networks, created for schools in Europe. Among the objectives for hte EUN initiative is to establish and test a shared reppository of educational resources based on a distributed model. The unity will be established through use of protocols like Z39.50 for simultaneous search of heterogeneous databases and on defining core metadata elements to be filled out by all participants.
