Understanding the Integrative Role of an Academic Library for Undergraduate Library Student Workers

There are many different qualities that make the library a unique experience for student workers. The university community and surrounding demographics also influence who the student worker will encounter on the job and shape the mission of the library as well. While the Media Center is important to the student workers at this institution, this may not be true at other institutions. Everything from being primarily a commuter campus, to availability of public transportation, to the number of first-time college attendees will significantly shape the student body's perceptions of that institution.
