Diagnostic problem solving aims to explain an observed divergence from the proper functioning of some case, human or other. The paper presents a temporal-abductive framework for diagnostic problem solving focusing on the integration of time. It is argued that time can be intrinsically relevant to diagnostic reasoning and as such it should be treated as an integral aspect of the knowledge and reasoning of a diagnostic problem solver. The proposal for achieving this is to model all relevent concepts as time-objects.
