Medical Equipment Replacement Prioritization Indicator Using Multi-criteria Decision Analysis

摘要

The objective of this work was to develop an evaluation tool based on Multi-criteria decision analysis, for the replacement of older medical equipment installed at the National Institute of Pediatrics from Mexico, considering technical and economic aspects. The result of such tool was an indicator that provides the functionality condition of the medical equipment and determines its replacement priority. The indicator was applied to a sample of medical equipment located at the critical care units from the Institute.
