This has been demonstrated in production for over 5 years now, for drilling and riveting in Airbus and in Bombardier along with various installations in research facilities worldwide. The product was initially developed to solve static accuracy processes - drilling, riveting, spotwelding etc but there has been a move recently to look at solutions for dynamic path following applications such as trimming, cutting and finishing. On the face of it, this may seem like a simple extension, streaming in errors to the robot for correction, however, the reality is much more complex.
