摘要

A new method for form-finding of tensegrity structures using a constrainedrnoptimization approach is presented. The information obtained from the fourrnfundamental spaces of their equilibrium matrices is useful in designing optimalrntensegrity structures. In particular, they will be used in conjunction with thernconstrained optimization approach for form-finding of tensegrity structures and itrnwill be demonstrated that they can be used for very large tensegrity structures with arncomplex connectivity of members. The new method offers control of both memberrnforces and lengths. In addition, static vertical-load deflection properties of thesernstructures will also be given with examples.
