With PCBs becoming more densely populated with increasingly finer pitch components, and with a demand for faster assebmly throughput times, the screen printing process has come under increasing scrutiny. As a consequence, traditional screen printers and printing techniques have seen some significant changes in recenty years to accommodate the demands of surface mount technology. A major development over the past two years has seen the widespread acceptance of ProFlow DirFKt Imaging (PFDI) enclosed printhead technology. As experience has been gained with the system, users have begun to appreciate that the technique enables the printing process to be extended to new materials and appliclations.
