The objevtive of this presentation is to give a borad overview of the basic types of metal stencil technologis avialable toady for use in Surface Mount assembly operations. I've always felt that the first rule of thumb in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is -"whatever works is the rule." Therefore, it's difficult to say with certainty what is the best technology for your company. The surface mount asembly operation is fraught with variables. Familiarization with the s tencil technologies available enables you to select the technology that best suits your requireements and your processes.
