摘要

Two landslide-associated clay soils, namely from Kamenose, Japanrnand Miaowan, China, were tested under laboratory conditions torndetermine the influence of overburden stress history on their residualrnshear behaviour. Landslide soil samples were reconstituted and reconsolidatedrnusing a ring shear box and sheared for longrndisplacements to achieve residual conditions at differing OCR levels.rnPreliminary results show that there is no significant difference in thernresidual shear strengths recorded for the Kamenose and Miaowanrnsoils at three levels of OCR tested.
