Based on the east side of Lingquan opencast coal mine background,during the effect of rock mass strength on stability was studied.This paper detailed analysis the rock mass strength values of C,(φ) influence on slope stability,and silistone and mudstone water effect on the sensitivity of slope stability sensitivity.The results showed that the rock mass strength C,(φ) value will reduce with the infiltration of water.Therefore,it is pointed out that the influence of ground water was an important factor for slope stability.In order to ensure the opencast coal mine slope stability,it designed + 500 "convex" slope and identified in a timely manner within the row height of the presser foot slope of effective prevention measures.This controlled effectively the influence of groundwater on slope stability more than 468 according to its influencing factors determine the Lingquan opencast coal mine set up 528 hydrosphere,508 hydrosphere,and 468 hydrosphere.
