The shrinkage and crack were the principal factors leading to the damage of archaeological sites.In this paper,some physical and chemical methods were applied to control the shrinkage and crack caused by water loss.The tests indicated that some of the measurements could play a positive role in restraining the shrinkage in the dehydration process.It was a beneficial exploration of crack resistance in archaeological sites.
