摘要

According to characteristics of WebGIS,in this paper,the architecture and operation mechanics of ArcIMS were analyzed simply.On the basis of the platform of ArcIMS,with the help of JavaScript,JSP and CSS,analyzed the characteristics of an information management system for archaeological sites based on WebGIS.In the system,the Apache and Tomcat are used as WebServer,the ArcIMS are adopted as MapServer,the SQL Server adopted as Database server.The system implements information searching and analyzing based on map manipulation,designs an interface between geographic data and attributes data,displays the geographic data and attributes data associability.It could administer and release the information of large archaeological sites,and provide scientific information for large archaeological sites study,protection and administration.
