摘要

The innovation to the deformation monitoring system for Guitianxi first grade dam has been carried out on an old dam, which has a dam axis in the shape of S and has been operated for nearly 40 years. Four pendant tension wire alignments witou uplift support equipment were installed, with a maximum length of about 140m. The automatic monitoring equipment of the plumb and inverse plumb lines, the tension wire alignment, the hydrostatic level, the displacement transducer and the invar distance metears are the stepper motor electro-optical tracking telementers, which arfe made in China with the unified types. Measurements are made once a day with a view to analyze and judge in time the operating behavior of the dam and for the purpose of the system maintenance. The innovated system has been in operation for more than five years and the objective of the automatic monitoring realized.
