Moisture Diffusion through Bar Soap Wrappers by TGA

摘要

Water diffusion rate through polymer films is measured by TGA. The polymer film isrnplaced over a sealed crucible of water with diffusion through the film as the only escape pathwayrnfor the water vapor. The TGA measures the rate of weight loss. The diffusion rate andrndiffusivity coefficient are calculated from the rate of weight loss and the geometry of the film.rnResults are reported for several polymer films at several temperatures.
