摘要

The Xiaozhongdian Basin is a NNW directed fault depression basin which was shaped while the Qinghai-Tibet plateau intensely upheaved since the end of the Pliocene epoch,where the lacustrine clay of the middle and late Pleistocene is well distributed from the Xiaozhongdian river section.The Yunnan-Tibet railway will pass through the Xiaozhongdian basin.The lacustrine clay is above ten meters,where the nature is obviously pure,and it has texture layer from the outcrop of the Xiaozhongdian.The laboratory testing results indicate that the Xiaozhongdian lacustrine clay is a clay of high dispersing,high liquid limit,high plastic limit and high porosity ratio,which shear strength is high,and of low expansion or middle expansion,so that the engineering property is better.The slope will be destroyed when it counters alternation of wetting and drying.The author based on the field geology investigation and the laboratory testing results,emphatically analysis the distributing characteristic,the formation time,and the engineering geology characteristic of the Xiaozhongdian lacustrine clay.
