The walking mechanism is an important component of roadheader, and its mechanical performances have a crucial effect on roadheader. This paper focuses on the walking mechanism of EBZ-160 roadheader, on the basis of modern virtual prototype technique and dynamic theory, and it has also simulated the operations under two conditions of horizontal forward moving and slope climbing by establishing the walking mechanism model, using Pro/E and dynamic simulating software ADAMS. We obtain the driving wheel and creeper tread meshing curve, which shows the rules and provides references for the design of walking mechanism of raodheader eventually.
