"Implementing quality education is the strategy measures for meeting challenge in 21st century, for increasing national citizen quality and training talents. The main method for quality education is classroom instruction. So we must transform the education notion, improve the approach to classrooM instruction, optimize teaching process. If the educators want students to master the knowledge system firmly and proficient skill by scientific justified teaching pattern, they should depend on those teaching methods which suit for students own physical and mental characteristic and responsiveness. Martial arts possess these features of bodybuilding, self-defense, recreation, spectator and practice in unbounded ground. Therefore martial art as their favorite event is the best choice for university students' physical training all their life. Since many years, teaching of martial arts usually adopts the mode that teachers explain, demonstrate, do by themselves and students imitate, and practice. It inherits the "oral and practical instruction" teaching method of martial arts and has its irreplaceable advantages. But a traditional unique teaching method is disadvantageous for cultivating students' ability to study independently, their cooperation spirit, their sense of participation. Today if the independence and creativity of students not get play, it will caused disagreement on needs of students' physical and mind development; disadvantage on increasing students' comprehensive quality. It is out of date by using the traditional unique teaching method when quality education is deepening. This paper tries to open a new field for implementing quality education of martial arts teaching according to absorb precious experiment, combine traditional teaching method, go by modern teaching idea, probe and improve teaching method of martial arts.
