Structural safety of large-scale port logistics equipment is the primary task of equipment administration at port enterprises. A number of surveys show that fatigue damage and structural instability are the main reasons leading to structure failure. In view of its large scale and long-time operation, effective methods for the structural fatigue assessment and management are introduced in the paper. Based on the accumulative damage theories, the S-N curves methods combined with fracture mechanics methods are applied in fatigue assessment to estimate the crack formation life and crack propagation life as reference for in-service inspection and repair, and specific operation strategies for those possible dangerous' structures suggested in consideration of the evaluation results.
