According to the practice study about the high strength medium and heavy plate with yield strength of 590 MPa direct on-line quenching in stead of off-line quenching, an optimal process of controlled rolling and controlled cooling process and heat treatment was obtained. The high strength medium and heavy plate with yield strength of 590MPa by directly quenched and tempered has excellent and stable comprehensive mechanical performances, and the mass production 01 the high strength plate was successfully realised.
