New plusfactors in an LCD-projector: homogeneous illumination,quick lamp (re-)start, reliable construction, full resolution NTSC

摘要

A novel full-resolution NTSC LCD (liquid crystal display)nfront-projector has been developed. A novel light collection systemnleads to a uniformly illuminated and bright picture. A newly developednlamp supply enables quick lamp run-up and restart. High-qualitynflicker-free images are obtained by introducing gamma-correction andnline-doubled scanning. The mechanical system assures an accurate andnstable position of the optical components, keeping them dust-free andnprotecting them against damage by vibration or shocks
