Abstract: Optical surfaces control poses a specific problem inthe case of ophthalmic surfaces, particularly forprogressive addition surfaces. Usual interferometrymethods do not allow to measure easily suchmeasurements but the duration and the sophisticatedenvironment needed increase too much the testing cost. For that purpose, we have developed and patented aprogressive addition surface measurement system using adeflectometry method. THe Ronchi method we use consistsin illuminating the simple by a known wavefront and inmeasuring the slopes of the reflected rays. The mainissue is then to compute accurately the surfacetopography. To solve this problem, we use anoptimization method. Finally, the built instrumentallows us to measure automatically deep asphericsurfaces in a few minutes with an accuracy close to 0.2percent of its asphericity. It doesn't need acontrolled environment. !7
