On the basis of the theoretical research with nonlinear finite element methods and according to the relativernChinese design standards, two 6 meter-span prestressed steel truss with cable in bottom chord were designed andrnan experiment which included the erection process and static load process was carried out. By comparingrnexperimental results with theoretical results, not only the feasibility of erection method and adaptability of thernfinite element analysis method to this structure were verified, but also mechanical behaviors and the deformationrncharacteristics during erection and static load processes were studied.
