THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN ICE-HOCKEY HALLIN KOSICE

Reconstruction of the ice hockey hall in Ko?ice is described in the presented paper. Destruction of the old hallrnwas necessary and new hall was designed and constructed with the double number of spectators. The mainrnbearing structure consisting from the middle tubular arch with 120 m span and from the spatial frame systems ofrnthe side stands. These two systems hold the roof truss girders which are creating the spatially curved plane of thernroof. All foundations are supported by drilled reinforced concrete piles.
