THE DESIGN AND RESEARCH OF REVOLVING OPENABLE ROOFSYSTEM FOR SHANGHAI QI-ZHONG STADIUM

摘要

The Qi-zhong stadium is a comprehensive stadium which contains 15,000 seats and primarily for tennisrncompetitions. The stadium features a cantilever revolving openable roof system; this type of roof is the first one inrnChina and even in the world. Due to the unique specificity of this kind of roof system; the wind load, live load,rnbearing capacity and connection method are totally different comparing with other normal roof systems, so that wernhave performed several researches to ensure the completion of this project, those researches include: wind-studyrnengineering; spatial intersecting-welding for curly steel pipes; spatial pre-stressed reinforced-concrete structurernsystem; the structure and mechanics integration research and new method of installations.
