Being an initial link in a technological chain of minerals production and processing,drilling-and-blasting works,in many respects define the subsequent operations efficiency and in particular,crushing and sorting complex functioning.On rubble production pits this communication is traced in an uncontrollable elimination grade yield.Explosion action on the destroyed massif leads to strength characteristics decrease in the destroyed rock pieces which can significantly influence the volume of a sub-standard production yield.The present work is devoted to research of power characteristics of the explosives,used for rocks destruction,influence on blown-up rock pieces strength characteristics.Model experiment of a single cylindrical charge explosion process in the blast hole for the purpose of destroyed rock pieces in shotpile strength properties dependence establishment taking into account destruction zones from explosive power characteristics is considered.For numerical calculations justification model experiments are made on special equivalent-material concrete blocks.On the basis of pilot studies the process picture of the block destruction by various power charges is received.Results of the executed model experiments allow to establish connection between the samples' (in shotpile) physicomechanical properties decrease of the blown-up rock from various zones of destruction and power characteristics of applied explosive.
