摘要

This paper presents an application of Improved AntColony Optimization (IACO) to solve the optimaltelecommunication networks design considering botheconomics and reliability. IACO is a new cooperativeagent approach, which is inspired by the observation ofthe behaviors of real ant colonies on the topic of ant trialformation and foraging methods. In the IACO, a set ofcooperating agents called “ants” cooperates to find goodsolution. The advantages of IACO are parallel search andoptimization capabilities. This approach is interested onthe model of the reality telecommunication network.Simulation results on multiple test problems with variousdegrees of constraint show that this approach has highefficiency and is superior to the conventional LocalSearch (LS) and Tabu Search algorithm (TSA).
