A mobile ad-hoc network which does not use a wirednetwork and base station system is composed of a groupof mobile and wireless nodes. There are various types ofrestrictions. The biggest restriction is the confined energyof the batteries. If the network is divided into more thantwo, and one of the nodes consumes all the energy, thatnode can no longer participate in the network. In recentyears, much research has been under taken to not onlyimprove the energy storage but also to lengthen thenetworks lifetime.In this paper, we propose an enhanced AODV (Ad-hocOn-demand Distance Vector) routing protocol which ismodified to improve the networks lifetime in a mobile adhocnetwork. One improvement for the AODV protocol isto maximize the networks lifetime by applying an EnergyMean Value algorithm which considerate node energyaware.We know the effectiveness of enhanced AODVcompared with AODV using NS-2.
