摘要

The earthquake of May 12 in Wenchuan not only caused catastrophic disaster, but also induced lots of secondary mountainous disasters, which has increased the vulnerability of regional ecological environment and influenced the environmental security and the ecological construction of the Upper Reaches of Min River. In order to deal with the problems in the Upper Reaches of Min River, this paper adopted the remote sensing image to zone the mountainous forest restoration with GIS technique. The zoning model integrated several factors, such as precipitation, evaporation, vegetation, soil erosion, and human activities, to define and distinguish the boundary between natural restoration and human reconstruction. The significance of boundary zoning can be used to serve the local governments' investment on ecological construction in mountains and guide for the environment management.
