Conversational systems for family health history collection for geriatric population

Early detection of a disease or its possibility helps in quicker initiation of preventive action, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services (Khasawneh & Ponathil, 2018; Rutherford et al., 2016). Family Health History (FHx) tool is a method to collect this information. Self-collection FHx tools are found to be equally as good as other methods like paper-based or electronic tools, yet offer significant advantages like obtaining more accurate information in a short time for a large population (Giovanni & Murray, 2010). In addition, patients can potentially provide and have subsequent access to complete and accurate FHx information as they can contact their relatives and consult previous records at their leisure.
