The present paper concerns the activity of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the area of preparation of scientific, production and technical personnel for the radioelectronic sphere. The Institute's role in the development of radioelectronics in Ukraine in 1950–1980's is determined on the basis of carried out study.
