E-commerce, as a Modulating Possibility for Application of the Drop-shipping Model

With the increasing penetration of the Internet, e-commerce and digital marketing in the traditional supply chain, there is an increasing interest among entrepreneurs to use a more up-to-date and modern business model, known as drop-shipping. The purpose of the article is to analyse the characteristics and impact of the drop-shipping model as an evolutionary form of the traditional supply chain model. There are broad prospects for both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sole traders, as well as for diversified goods producers, in the context of easier and more flexible entry and entry into stable global market positions. The study outlines the opportunities and prospects for the development of the drop-shipping model, which should be further researched.
