Technological advancement and human development have always shared a close relationship. This is especially true in manufacturing systems with human operators. First of on this article presents examples of jobs where human factors have been applied. Secondly, it demonstrates the research results of workers fatigue that have been employed at metalworking (120 persons), at welding (211 persons), in clothing factories (113 persons), at telecommunications (40 persons) and at operating the floor covering impregnation process (60 persons). The research procedure which has been applied was first proposed by R. Kosugo (1982). It deals with the questionnaire method of Cumulative Fatigue Index (CFI). The aim of this research was to present the influence of different kinds of jobs on the psychophysica! condition of workers. Mean ratings of CFI and the distribution of detailed categories of fatigue symptoms were determined. This area of research should lead to greater understanding of human capacities in work, which are dependent on workload. Finally the linguistic magnitude estimation of working ability (efficiency of worker) was with helping five-scale CFI was proposed. The result of research can be applied to correlate the work environment condition with workers' fatigue.
