摘要

The adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron (AQFP) circuit is an extremely energy-efficient circuit. To compare state-of-the-artCMOS technology, the bit energy of AQFP is 5 – 6 orders of magnitude smaller at the same operation frequency. By investigatingthe effect of AQFP fan-out, wiring length, and wiring structure on the circuit bit error rate, we are developing a top-down designflow to quickly and reliably design large-scale AQFP circuits. Based on these results, we have developed a 32-word 8-bit registerfile and a 4-bit CPU named MANA (Monolithic Adiabatic iNtegration Architecture).
