Cyclic behavior of SHS columns under small inelastic cycles Part 1 Cyclic loading tests with shear span ratio of 7.0 and experiment database

摘要

The test results for the specimens with the shear span ratioof 7.0 were presented. The strength deterioration behavior dueto local buckling was investigated. The influence of shear spanratio on the strength deterioration behavior of specimens undercyclic small amplitude loading was figured out. Theconclusions from previous studies were also applicable to thespecimens with the different shear span ratios.Part 1 is also intended to summarize and provide solidexperiment database for the analytical work in Part 2.
