摘要

The growth of wind energy around the world in recent years has been consistently impressive. The increase in wind power penetration level is likely to influence the operation of the existing utilities networks, especially the power system stability. Normally, the wind turbines are mainly equipped with squirrel-cage induction generators and is called as self-excited induction generators (SEIG). Connections of several generating stations reduce the installed capacity of the stand by unit considerably and enable economic distributions of load between several generating stations. This paper analyses the coordinated control of SEIG with the hydro governor synchronous generator. The simulation results of SEIG with synchronous generator are implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC that shows the real and reactive power flows of the interconnected system.
