Pneumatic conveying systems using screw conveyor pumps are used in the continuous transport of fine-grained bulk goods. Because of their small size they are indispensable and often the only possibility of achieving a new form of transport. Such a system is composed of the following five components: 1. Compressor 2. Dust pump 3. Delivery line 4. Evacuation device for the feed vessel 5. Separation filter for the product stream All five components are basically brought into harmony with each other. In this way the required guarantee can be accepted. In the past a disadvantage of the screw pump was its considerable dependence on the properties of the bulk goods. If the properties of the bulk goods changed, then loss of performance and frequent operating upsets leading to complete loss of use of the conveyor often occurred. Very low feed flows led to sporadic conveying. The cement industry had to suffer particularly grievous experiences because of this and it is thus no coincidence that the decisive development steps were taken here.
