Haihe-Luanhe River (Tianjin Area) is at the mouth of the Haihe-Luanhe River Basin and is used for flood water reten tian and sewage discharge of the Basin. The ental water pollution in this area is typical of aridareas. Water shortages occur in Norther China because of the lack of water resources and poor water quality. There are more than one hundred first or second Class Rivers seriously polluted due to water from outside sewage irrigation. The environmental quality of agriculture and marine life has. The objects future for the Haihe-Luanhe River Basin (Tianjin area) are to combine pollution control with economic development.
