1. The optical properties and conductivity of P3BT under Li battery conditions were studied 2. The OCV, conductivity and absorbance of P3BT at each SOC were correlated 3. Conducting polymer composite membranes were prepared, and were successfully used as overcharge protection agents in TiS_2-Li, Li_2Mn_4O_9-Li cells 4. The effect of the electronic energy gaps of the conductive polymers and the morphology of the polymer composite membranes were investigated 5. Use in 4V cells will require the optimization of polymer conducting path, or through the use of a conducting polymer with higher oxidation potential.
